After creating your account, you will be presented with the two key components of Overtune: the loop panel and the sequencer.
The loop panel (on the left) is a library of all the loops you can work with. The sequencer (on the right) is where you will arrange them to create your beat. By default, the sequencer is empty. This can be a little intimidating sometimes so let's get you sorted with some loops that fit the idea you want to work on.
There are two search views you can use to find loops to add to the sequencer. One based on Loop Packs and one based on individual loops.
Loop Packs
Loop packs are essentially a produced beat broken down into its loops so you can rearrange them however you'd like. Using loops from the same Loop Pack guarantees that your arrangement mix nicely and coherently.
Loop Pack Search
Type in a keyword or click one of the predefined filters.
Browse the results and listen to previews.
Click the Loop Pack to open it.
Click the image for each loop to play a preview.
(Optional) inspect the waveforms my clicking the three dots and "See Details"
Click + or drag it to the sequencer.
Individual Loops
Searching by loops allows you to find more results based on your query but expect more trial and error when arranging your beat. It takes more work but offers much more flexibility and control over the arrangement.
Loops Search
Click the waveform icon to enable the Loops view (see screenshot below)
Search by typing in a keyword or using a filter, or both.
Preview the search results by clicking the image of each loop.
Click + or drag it to the sequencer.
Repeat the process about in either way that suits you better and bring your beat to life.
